IMPARTIAL ADVICE ON PILOTING PROBLEMS AND MEDIATION

The problems encountered by Pilots are not always understood by Port Authorities, and Pilots do not always realise that ports sometimes have constrictions in their ability to offer a perfect solution in the provision of berths.

Having taken a keen interest in the need to integrate port operations, tug usage, berth design, operational practices and piloting skills, I feel I can offer impartial advice to both Harbour Authorities and Pilot Services on most aspects of practical piloting and its associated problems.

A fresh look by an impartial third party from the outside at problems that have arisen can throw new light on a problem, and professional experienced advice can lead to a quick, satisfactory resolution that is acceptable to all parties.
